I had always wanted a waffle iron. At the age of six, I started
asking for one, every Christmas and every birthday. I dreamed of
making large, golden, square waffles that were slightly crispy
on the outside and light on the inside. I got my first wok when
I was six, my first ice cream machine a few years later, but
sadly, no waffle iron.
I'm getting married later this year, and my fiancée and I have
already registered in at least one place. Can you guess what the
first item I picked was? That'...

Crock-pot cooking can offer some very tasty meals and desserts however some basic rules should be followed when using a crock-pot to cook with. You should be careful not to over stir their food while it's cooking in a crock pot. Taking the lid off during cooking causes vast amounts of heat to escape, therefore the food should only be stirred if it is clearly stated in the recipe. Some elements can only be added at the end of the cooking time. "Tis the season for venison!
Hunting season opened the week before thanksgiving in Virginia.
Since we are in North Carolina, why does it matter when hunting
season opened in Virginia? I was born and raised in Virginia. My
parents still live there and my dad hunts ALMOST every day of
the season. He killed 2 deer already and having visited over the
holiday weekend, we brought some home to freeze. I feel very
fortunate to have a resource (Dad). It's better than store
bought and cheaper too.
I grew ...

Everyone has heard about the importance of keeping the level of
fat in the diet to a minimum. While some fat in the diet is
necessary, most Americans eat far too many fatty foods. Fats do
play a vital role in the diet, including in the absorption of
important fat soluble vitamins like vitamin A, vitamin D,
vitamin E and vitamin K. These vitamins are stored in fatty
tissues, and dietary fat aids in this process.
Too much fat in the diet, however has been linked to high
cholesterol, heart disease ...

I have briefly introduced two most classic and expensive Chinese
cooking ingredients (shark fins and bird's nest) in my previous
article. Here I'll continue to introduce some other special
ingredients that are more regularly used in our daily cooking.
They are far more affordable. Not like shark fins and bird's
nest, people can only dream about in China unless you have
plenty of money and don't know where to spend.
Jellyfish
Jellyfish is preserved in salt and alum. Large, thin and
translucent on...

Have you ever wondered how to cut a cake? I have had a lot of
practice. When I turned 16 and requested a Spider Man sheet cake
I busily honed my cake cutting skills by making concentric
rectangles and then served up the master piece. My family all
refused to eat stating lack of presentation skills. Since that
time my skills have, thankfully, been refined. Here are tips to
cutting a round layer cake.
First select a knife you are comfortable holding. A long slender
knife works best. Begin the firs...

Quite often when you research information into the various cultures and cuisines that make up countries it is quite possible to find a common theme common name for the food of that country. Such as French food, Italian food etc but with the regards to Spanish food or more accurately described as recipes that originate from the country of Spain it could be argued that it is not quite that simple.
The reason for this is that you could quite easily argue that technically there is no such thing as ...
